Connect Sync GTM to Claude Cowork, Anthropic’s desktop knowledge-work agent. Cowork runs inside the Claude desktop app and uses the same connectors, so you add Sync GTM once and it’s available in every Cowork session.

Sync GTM uses browser-based sign-in (OAuth). There is no API key to copy or paste — leave the other fields empty and approve in your browser.

Step by step guide

Open Claude Cowork

Open the Claude desktop app (or claude.ai) and click the Cowork tab at the top.

Go to Customize

Click Customize in the left sidebar. You’ll see options for Skills, Connectors, and Browse Plugins.

Add Custom Connector

  1. Open Connectors and click Add custom connector
  2. Enter the server URL (field below)

Leave all other fields empty — Claude auto-discovers the server name and authentication settings.

Authenticate via Sync GTM

  1. Click Authorize — your browser opens the Sync GTM authorization page automatically
  2. Sign in to Sync GTM and approve — Sync GTM tools are now available in your Cowork sessions

Make sure you’re already signed in to the Sync GTM app in your default browser before authorizing — the authorization page opens there. No API token or header is required.

Notes

  • A connector added in the Claude desktop app is shared with both Claude chats and Cowork.
  • Custom connectors require a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).
