Set up the SyncGTM MCP server
Setup takes about two minutes. You point your MCP client at one URL, sign in through your browser, and the Sync GTM tools appear in your chat.
The steps differ slightly per client — pick yours below.
Before you start
- A Sync GTM account — sign up free
- One supported MCP client (see the grid below)
- Be signed in to Sync GTM in your default browser — that’s where the authorization page opens
Sync GTM uses browser-based sign-in (OAuth). There is no API key and no Authorization header. If a client asks you for a token, leave the field blank.
Server URL
Every client uses the same endpoint:
https://api.syncgtm.com/mcpSet the transport to streamable HTTP. Each client names this differently — --transport http, httpUrl, or just HTTP in a dropdown.
