Sync Agent

Sync Agent is the AI assistant built into the table. It sits in the toolbar as the purple ✦ button, next to your credit estimate.

Instead of adding columns and picking actions one at a time, you describe the workflow you want and the agent sets it up in the table.

What it does

  • Reads the table you have open — its columns, actions, and data
  • Turns a plain-English request into the columns and actions that deliver it
  • Suggests the next step once a workflow is running
  • Answers questions about which enrichment to use for what you are trying to find

It works on the table in front of you. It is not the MCP server — that connects your own AI client to Sync GTM from outside the app.

How to use it

  1. Open the table you want to build in
  2. Click the ✦ Sync Agent button in the top-right of the toolbar
  3. Describe the outcome, not the steps — “find the work email and verify it for every row”
  4. Review what it proposes before running anything
  5. Run a few rows manually first, then turn on Auto-run

Prompting it well

The same rules that apply to the MCP prompting guide apply here:

  • Name the column. “Enrich the Domain column” beats “enrich the companies”.
  • State the output you want. “Add a column with verified work emails” is buildable; “improve this table” is not.
  • One job per prompt. Source, then enrich, then write copy — three prompts, three checkpoints.
  • Say the limits. Row counts, countries to skip, titles to exclude. Every row costs credits.

Check the credit estimate in the toolbar before running anything the agent sets up. A workflow that looks like one column can be a waterfall of paid providers underneath.

Where to next

  • Actions — what the agent is assembling for you
  • AI Agents — pre-built research agents you can run as columns
  • Auto-run — run the finished workflow without clicking play
