A contact record is only worth what you can do with it. This course covers the step every outbound motion depends on and most teams get wrong: turning a name and a company into a verified way to reach someone, at a cost you can actually state.

You finish with a list where you know the hit rate, the verified rate, and the cost per contactable row — and a refresh cadence that keeps all three from decaying.


About this course

Eight lessons in three blocks: email (the primary path and its verification layer), phone and reverse lookup (the fallbacks), and measurement (the numbers that tell you whether any of it worked).

Every lesson names its tool chain and its credit cost, because the point of the course is cost control rather than coverage for its own sake. A waterfall that finds everyone at any price is not a win.

Who it is for. Anyone sending anything. It is the shortest path to fixing a bounce problem, and the course to run before your first real campaign rather than after your first blocked domain.

What it costs. Around 120 credits at the suggested volumes — but waterfalls only bill when a provider returns a result, so the real number depends on the segment. A well-covered segment costs less than the estimate; a long tail costs more per row and returns less.

Before you start

  • A list of people with names and company domains. 50 rows is enough to make the hit-rate maths meaningful.
  • SyncGTM 101 or GTM Engineering Foundations — this course assumes you know what a column and a run are.
  • Your current bounce rate, if you have one. It is the number this course is trying to move.

The number that matters

Not hit rate. Cost per verified contactable row.

A waterfall that returns an address for 80% of a list looks better than one that returns 60%. If half of the 80% are catch-all guesses that bounce, the 60% list is worth more and cost less to send against. Lesson 03 explains the mechanism; lesson 07 turns it into a single number you can compare runs against.
