Connect Sync GTM to Claude Cowork, Anthropic’s desktop knowledge-work agent. Cowork runs inside the Claude desktop app and uses the same connectors, so you add Sync GTM once and it’s available in every Cowork session.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan? Custom connectors are controlled by your workspace admin — a member seat can’t add one. Ask your Claude admin to add Sync GTM (https://api.syncgtm.com/mcp) as a custom connector for the workspace, then each member authorizes it with their own Sync GTM account. On Pro and Max you can add it yourself.

Sync GTM uses browser-based sign-in (OAuth). There is no API key to copy or paste — leave the other fields empty and approve in your browser.

Why connect Claude Cowork to Sync GTM?

Cowork is built for deep, multi-step knowledge work — with Sync GTM connected, it can handle end-to-end GTM research and outbound prep in a single session:

  • Prospect research in one session — “Research all decision-makers at my top 10 target accounts” and get enriched profiles back
  • Account-based intelligence — tech stack, headcount trends, recent hires, open roles, LinkedIn activity — all in one canvas
  • Draft outreach with real context — Cowork can find a contact, enrich their profile, and write a personalized message in the same task
  • Track signals across accounts — job changes, hiring spikes, LinkedIn posts — surfaced automatically during research
  • Build enriched lists for campaigns — generate ICP-matched lead lists with emails and mobile numbers, ready to export

Designed for sales teams, founders, and GTM operators who want a research agent that actually has access to live B2B data.

Step by step guide

Open Claude Cowork

Open the Claude desktop app (or claude.ai) and click the Cowork tab at the top.

Go to Customize

Click Customize in the left sidebar. You’ll see options for Skills, Connectors, and Browse Plugins.

Add Custom Connector

  1. Open Connectors and click Add custom connector
  2. Enter the server URL (field below)
URL
https://api.syncgtm.com/mcp
  1. Click Add

Leave all other fields empty — Claude auto-discovers the server name and authentication settings.

Authenticate via Sync GTM

  1. Click Authorize — your browser opens the Sync GTM authorization page automatically
  2. Sign in to Sync GTM and approve — Sync GTM tools are now available in your Cowork sessions

Select the correct organization. The authorization screen opens with an Organization dropdown at the top. Whichever organization is selected when you click Approve is the one this connection reads data from and spends credits from. In more than one organization? Open the dropdown and pick the right one before approving. To change it later, connect again and pick a different one — see Managing more than one organization.

Connecting Sync GTM to an AI client — the Organization dropdown on the authorization screen sets which organization the connection uses for data and credits.

Make sure you’re already signed in to the Sync GTM app in your default browser before authorizing — the authorization page opens there. No API token or header is required.

Notes

  • A connector added in the Claude desktop app is shared with both Claude chats and Cowork.
  • Custom connectors require a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).

Managing more than one organization

Agencies and consultants often sit in several Sync GTM organizations — their own plus each client’s. The connection uses the organization you picked on the authorization screen, and spends that organization’s credits. Choosing a different organization in the Sync GTM app does not move an existing connection across, so Claude Cowork keeps using the one you approved until you connect again.

To work in a client’s account:

  1. Open Customize → Connectors, find Sync GTM, and click Reconnect (or disconnect and connect again).
  2. On the Sync GTM authorization screen, open the Organization dropdown and pick the client’s organization, then click Approve.
  3. Run check_credits (free) to confirm which organization the connection is now pointing at.
