What it does
Create, update, delete, and search HubSpot objects programmatically — keep your CRM data accurate without manual imports or CSV uploads.
HubSpot is a SyncGTM native integration — it runs on SyncGTM credits, so there is no external HubSpot account or API key to connect.
Adding the integration creates an Action column. It behaves like any other Action column — same dynamic variables, same Auto Run triggers, same per-row test before you run the whole column.
Available actions
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Object | Create a new contact, company, or custom object in your HubSpot workspace. |
| Update Object | Update existing records like contacts or deals in your HubSpot CRM. |
| Delete Object | Remove a contact, company, or other object from your HubSpot account. |
| Search Objects | Find specific objects in HubSpot using search filters and criteria. |
| Get Objects | Fetch all records of a specific type like contacts or companies in HubSpot. |
Each action is its own column. Pick the one you need when you add the integration — you can add more than one from the same integration to a table.
The record flow
The actions above chain into the one loop every CRM integration runs: import records, search whether the record already exists, then create it if it does not or update it if it does. The full pattern is on the CRM page.
| Step | Action | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Import records | Get Objects | Fetches every record of a type — contacts, companies, deals — as rows. Filter to a named segment rather than the whole portal. Turn on Enable Auto Import to re-run it on a frequency — new and changed records arrive on their own. See Manage scheduled imports. |
| 2. Search for the record | Search Objects | Match on parameters with operators — is, is not, contains, is empty, greater than. Match on something stable, a work email or a company domain, never a name or title. Returns the matching record’s ID. |
| 3. Create or update | Create Object / Update Object | Create when the search returned nothing; update the object ID it returned. Delete Object is the fourth write action — keep it out of any auto-run chain. |
Wire step 3 with a conditional formula column that reads the search result and outputs create when it came back empty or update when it returned an ID, then auto-run each write column off that flag. Bring the HubSpot record ID on import — it is the key the update writes to, and matching back by name or email afterwards is how duplicates get made.
Setup
