Give it a LinkedIn company page, get back growth trends, hiring patterns and employee distribution.

- Growth trends, hiring patterns, employee distribution
What it does
- Returns deep insights for a LinkedIn company — growth trends, hiring patterns, employee distribution.
- Accepts a LinkedIn id, a full LinkedIn URL, or a company name as the
identifier. - Makes two API calls under the hood — one to resolve the identifier to a company, one to fetch the insights. That is why it costs more than the other company tools.
- It is the most detailed and most expensive company tool in the catalogue.
Top of the cost ladder: enrich_linkedin_page at 0.5 credits, enrich_organization at 2, this at 3. Run it on a shortlist, not a raw list.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
identifier | string | Yes | LinkedIn id, URL, or company name |
How to use it
Connect the MCP server
Follow the setup guide for your client. Browser sign-in, no API key.
Qualify cheaply first
Enrich these 200 LinkedIn company pages with enrich_linkedin_page. Keep only
the ones with more than 200 employees.Run the premium call on what survives
Now run premium_linkedin_page_insights on the 18 companies that passed. Report
credits used.Read the trend, not the number
For each of those 18, tell me whether headcount and hiring are growing or
shrinking, and which department is expanding fastest.Example prompts
| Ask your client | What you get back |
|---|---|
| ”Premium insights for linkedin.com/company/stripe” | Growth trends, hiring patterns, employee distribution |
| ”Which of these 10 accounts is growing fastest?” | One 3-credit call per account, ranked |
| ”Just give me the description and employee count” | Use enrich_linkedin_page at 0.5 credits instead |
| ”How has headcount moved over time?” | head_count_growth_rate answers that alone for 2 credits |
Best prompting practices
- Shortlist first. Never point this at an unfiltered list. Qualify with
enrich_linkedin_pageat 0.5 credits, then escalate. - Say what you want out of it. “Growth trends and hiring patterns” gets a usable summary; “enrich this company” gets a data dump.
- Do not use it for a single field. If you only want a department headcount,
headcount_by_departmentis 2 credits and answers directly. - Prefer the LinkedIn URL. The resolve step is one of the two API calls — giving it an exact id or URL leaves less room for a wrong match.
- Cap the batch. “Stop after 20 and report credits used.” At 3 credits a call this is the fastest way to spend a balance.
Output
{
"identifier": "linkedin.com/company/stripe",
"headcount_trend": "growing",
"hiring_pattern": { "open_roles_trend": "up" },
"employee_distribution": { "Engineering": 41, "Sales": 18 }
}Credits and limits
3 credits per call, flat. Run check_credits (free) before a large batch.
Most expensive company tool in the catalogue, and it makes two API calls per
run. 100 companies is 300 credits. Use
enrich_linkedin_page for the first
pass and reserve this for accounts you are actually going to work.
