Randomizer (Spintax)
Randomizer picks one variation out of a set of spintax options, so every row gets different wording instead of the exact same line.
What it does
- Reads a spintax pattern — options in curly braces, separated by a pipe, like
{Hi|Hey|Hello} there - Picks one option at random per row
- Helps outreach copy avoid looking templated across a large send
How to use it
- Click Add Action and search “Randomizer”
- Write or paste your spintax pattern, or point it at a column that contains one
- Run the row, then the column — each row resolves to a different pick
Common use cases
- Vary the greeting or opening line across a large email send
- Rotate CTAs so every prospect does not get the identical ask
- Rotate subject lines within one campaign
- Vary connection-request phrasing on a LinkedIn push
Best practices
- Keep every variation the same meaning and tone — variety in wording, not in message
- Three to five options is plenty; more variants means more copy to proofread
- Proofread every option: a typo in one variant will ship to a share of your rows
- Randomize the wording, never the facts — personalization comes from enriched columns, not spintax
- Store the pattern in a column when different segments should draw from different option sets
