Connect Sync GTM to the Claude app (desktop or web) as a custom connector.

On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan? Custom connectors are controlled by your workspace admin — a member seat can’t add one. Ask your Claude admin to add Sync GTM (https://api.syncgtm.com/mcp) as a custom connector for the workspace, then each member authorizes it with their own Sync GTM account. On Pro and Max you can add it yourself.

Sync GTM uses browser-based sign-in (OAuth). There is no API key to copy or paste — leave the other fields empty and approve in your browser.

Why connect Claude to Sync GTM?

Once connected, ask Claude in plain English — no dashboards, no CSV exports, no tab-switching:

  • Find decision-makers — “Who’s the VP of Sales at Rippling?” returns name, LinkedIn, and contact info
  • Enrich leads instantly — get work email, mobile number, and LinkedIn profile from a name and company
  • Verify emails before sending — check deliverability in real time so you don’t burn your sender score
  • Research companies — tech stack, headcount growth, funding round, website traffic, job openings
  • Track buying signals — hiring spikes, recent job changes, LinkedIn posts from your target accounts
  • Build outbound lists — find all CTOs at companies on your ICP, enriched with emails, in one ask

This turns every Claude chat into a live GTM data layer — great for sales reps, founders, and RevOps teams who already live in Claude.

Step by step guide

Open Claude Connectors

Open the Connectors settings directly:

Open Claude Connectors →

Or navigate manually: Settings → Connectors (in the desktop app: Customize → Connectors).

Custom connectors require a paid Claude plan — Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. On Team and Enterprise, only a workspace admin can add a custom connector (see the note at the top of this page).

Add Custom Connector

  1. Click Add custom connector
  2. Enter the server URL (field below)
URL
https://api.syncgtm.com/mcp
  1. Click Add

Leave all other fields empty — Claude auto-discovers the server name and authentication settings.

Authenticate via Sync GTM

  1. Click Authorize — your browser opens the Sync GTM authorization page automatically
  2. Sign in to Sync GTM and approve — the connector is now active in your chats

Select the correct organization. The authorization screen opens with an Organization dropdown at the top. Whichever organization is selected when you click Approve is the one this connection reads data from and spends credits from. In more than one organization? Open the dropdown and pick the right one before approving. To change it later, connect again and pick a different one — see Managing more than one organization.

Connecting Sync GTM to an AI client — the Organization dropdown on the authorization screen sets which organization the connection uses for data and credits.

Make sure you’re already signed in to the Sync GTM app in your default browser before authorizing — the authorization page opens there. No API token or header is required.

Enable it in a chat

Open the + / tools menu near the composer and enable SyncGTM.

Managing more than one organization

Agencies and consultants often sit in several Sync GTM organizations — their own plus each client’s. The connection uses the organization you picked on the authorization screen, and spends that organization’s credits. Choosing a different organization in the Sync GTM app does not move an existing connection across, so Claude keeps using the one you approved until you connect again.

To work in a client’s account:

  1. Open Claude Connectors , find Sync GTM, and click Reconnect (or disconnect and connect again).
  2. On the Sync GTM authorization screen, open the Organization dropdown and pick the client’s organization, then click Approve.
  3. Run check_credits (free) to confirm which organization the connection is now pointing at.
